Who is the Proctor?

The Proctor is the individual responsible for managing and supervising exams. The main task is to ensure the logistical and technological functionality of the exam room, whether for in-person or online tests. They ensure that the rules are followed, prevent misconduct such as plagiarism, and guarantee that the exam process is conducted fairly. The Proctor also answers questions related to exam instructions and handles any emergencies that may arise.

Their role is particularly important during digital certification exams, such as the EDSC DigComp test. The EDSC DigComp certifications specifically address the need to enhance digital education across the African continent. They also support schools in implementing digital curricula according to the DigComp 2.2 and DigCompEdu frameworks.

The goal is to provide students, school staff, and citizens the opportunity to enhance their digital skills with a certificate that is recognized worldwide, valid as educational credit, and applicable in the job market.
